Hypnotherapy for Menopause

Menopause and perimenopause is a time in a woman's life which can bring many changes, which can sometimes feel daunting and challenging.

By using Clinical Hypnotherapy I can help you to feel better, live happier and to adjust. Imagine how wonderful it would be embracing your new self.

Clinical Hypnotherapy can help alleviate some of the symptoms associated with menopause, such as hot flushes, stress, anxiety and panic attacks. As well as sleep problems, weight gain, low self esteem, lack of confidence and motivation, IBS and many more.

I can show you how to manage physical and psychological symptoms through various 'self-hypnosis' techniques where you are in control the whole time. Empowering you to take charge and ultimately enabling you to feel more positive and uplifted.

I have achieved the Certificate in Menopause: The Foundations from The British Menopause Society. I am also a member of The British Menopause Society.

I have completed the certificate in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) for the management of hot flushes and night sweats from The British Menopause Society.

Certificate in Confidence in Menopause for Health Care Professionals from Newson Health  Menopause Society.

Supporting your wellbeing

By using evidence based practice, and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), I can help you to feel better emotionally and physically, increasing the joy in your life, helping you to see this time as an opportunity, to realise how much wisdom and life experience you have and how much more you have to offer. Together we can work towards changing your attitude and the way you cope with and manage this wonderful time of life.

Embrace this time in your life and be the best version of you

My interest in menopause began when I was approaching the age when menopause symptoms start. I have always had an interest in mental health and wellbeing, yet I did not realise how many psychological symptoms were associated with menopause and perimenopause and this is when my interest grew. I also mistakenly thought that I would not be able to take HRT because I have migraines with aura, yet I can!

HRT is the best way to treat menopause and perimenopause however, some women either can’t or don’t want to take it and hypnotherapy is perfectly placed to help with some of the associated physical and psychological symptoms. I believe that taking HRT it is an individual choice and I do not judge or persuade this decision. Menopause not only affects the woman but their family, friends, work colleagues and everyone she has contact with, yet it's common to also feel isolated, alone and misunderstood.
